5th March

Original Hedgerow, leg 1.

Dull with dry spells.

A couple of flowers adding a little bit of colour:

Groundsel (left) and Red Dead-nettle (right).

And a couple of fungi still in good condition. Tubaria furfuracea (left) and Jew's Ear - Auricularia auricula-judae (Right).

The first leaves of Pignut.

A new rust - Puccinia lapsanae - on this year's leaves of Nipplewort. Most leaves in this area were already infected.

Since Dandelions have been flowering most of the winter, I suppose it's not too surprising that some of them have gone to seed already.
