Fringe of coniferous plantation.

 

Incessant stormy rain, sleet and hail.

 

Once the frog tadpoles hatch, they begin to eat the jelly around them. They tend to keep to a small spherical area inside their own blob.

And just a few centimetres away, leaves of Creeping Buttercup are holding a few hailstones, showing that the inside of a piece of jelly might just be a good place to be.
