Original Hedgerow, leg 2.

Bright and hot.

Gastrophysa viridula are currently on many Dock leaves. The larvae will hatch shortly and destroy the leaves they feed on.

A nice undershot of a Green-veined White.

Beetle attacks and fungal infections are damaging the Meadowsweet long before the flowers appear. Leaf-miners will be next.

Another micromoth - Micropteryx calthella - on the first Buttercup of the year. There is much synchronisation going on.

A couple of Muscids that I examined to see if they might be Tachinids.

A better shot of the Speckled Wood.

I think my next purchase has to be a Spider reference.
