11th January

Original hedgerow today. We had very high winds and long sleet showers, so I was lucky to get these pictures. A Raven flew overhead, but I wasn't quick enough with the focus to get it. It looks like the bats I photographed last year were Leislers bats.

I'm pretty sure the Groundsel is in flower all year round.

This moss was growing on a gatepost. the spore capsules look to be very new - they turn brown later.

Light was at a premium again - the next sleet shower was very close. Tutsan berries puzzle me a bit. The plant is clearly medically beneficial - it's a member of the St. John's Wort family, but birds clearly don't eat the berries. You can see my reflection in the middle left berries.
