High Heath.

Dull and wet.

Two flower portraits. Eyebright (left) and Slender St. John's Wort (right).

The nymphs of Froghoppers are usually well-hidden in their 'cuckoo spit', but excess rain can dilute their protective foam.

More ants, this time with an obvious purpose. These are 'grooming' their Aphids and removing the nectar secreted by them.

These images are straight off the sensor, with no resizing.

A scarce white version of the Common Spotted Orchid. Even the pollinia are paler than usual.

Cross-leaved Heath has opened, and is perhaps a shade paler than usual.
