Local wasteland.

Overcast with attempts at showers.

Woody Nightshade appears on a couple of hedges on the patch. Solanum dulcamara.

This little green spider has clearly been successful. That fly should last a couple of days.

I always wondered what these Coleophora larvae did when they had finished eating the flowerhead on their Rush. It looks like they travel all the way down one stem and back up another.

The fertile shoots of the lichen Marchantia polymorpha look like forests of tiny palm trees.

Cleavers - Galium aparine - normally has 4 petals to each flower. This specimen has obviously forgotten to stop at 4. Both images from the same plant.

A leaf miner on Privet. Probably Caloptilia syringella - a micromoth.

And another on Broad-leaved Dock. Pegomya solennis - a fly - is the most likely candidate.
