Opening a moth trap at 07.30.

Species list jumps to 1210.

Dull and damp.

 

There was no light at this time of the morning, so shots are for the record only.

This is The Chestnut - Conistra vacinii.

Feathered Thorn - Colotois pennaria, male.

    

Green-brindled Crescent - Allophyes oxyacanthae. Note the green sheen.

    

November Moth - Epirrita agg. Male (left) and female (right).

    

Yellow-line Quaker - Agrochola macilenta.

Red Sword-grass - Xylena ventusta.

An unidentified Tortricid micromoth.

And to finish, a large red Caddis Fly that had also been attracted to the light.
