More from Ards forest.

Dull but dry.

Hookeria lucens is a moss that I usually find growing on the walls of ditches, but this clump was just growing on damp ground under old trees. The location meant that I could get a decent shot of the capsules for once.

I've always been under the impression that Sweet Chestnuts don't fully ripen Ireland. They certainly do.

A fungus left over from yesterday: Collybia peronata - the Wood Woolly-foot.

A few specimens of the Oak Cherry gall caused by the wasp Cynips quercusfolii.
