Deciduous fringe.

 

Dull and wet all day.

 

A solitary Daisy bloomed on the path.

This Common Wasp - Vespula vulgaris - was crawling through the undergrowth. I suspect its nest had been destroyed by the felling operation. The nest would have been dead at this time of the year, anyway.
