Highest local point.

Bright but cool.

A very common (and delicate) Mycena that grows on most path sides.

A new location for Ivy-leaved Water Crowfoot. This wet patch was created when the forest was clear-felled about 5 years ago and an area was excavated to store logs. The run-off from the hilltop has created little ponds and large puddles.

Any guesses for the identification of the (now wrongly situated) red and yellow specimen in the centre of the image?

Some of the larger wet areas are host to beetles and tadpoles. This image shows the wake left by a single Whirligig Beetle, which can be seen as a white dot just a little right and below the centre.
