A few more fungi from Ards Forest.

Todays weather was delightful - sunny and warm all day.

These Clavulina cristata were in a ring about 1.5 m across. The second image is a close-up of part of the ring. About 4 cm. tall.

These specimens of Heterobasidion annosum were growing on the edge of a very large stump. Larger specimen about 20 cm across. This fungus is a severe decomposer of coniferous wood.

This little (2cm.) fungus appears to be a Wax-cap.

This is a Cantharellus - related to the Chanterelle. Pseudocraterellus sinuosus.
