A couple of pictures from the River Deele.

 

 

This is the view from my bedroom window at 8 am today.

 

 

 

Bright early but torrential rain later.

The black dots on this Ivy leaf are the fruiting bodies of a fungal infection - Trochilia craterium.

 

This is how an untouched specimen of Male Fern will grow if left uncut - the classic 'shuttlecock' shape. The ones on verges tend to be very lop-sided. This specimen was about 150 cm tall.

The pale 'v' in the left foreground is....
