A trip to the high deforested area.

Bright sunshine.

This Melanoleuca sp.was growing at the edge of the woodland. About 6 cm. across.

Two pictures with a water theme....on the left a spider's nest with evidence of succesful kills, and Fairy Flax on the right. The water droplets were dispersed in a very interesting pattern.

Sadly, the Angelica is already past its best. After the flowers set, the unripe seeds are green (left), then brown (right).

One or two heads had clearly failed (left). On investigation, they all had a fungal infection (right). But I can't be sure if the infection (perhaps Fusarium spp.) set in before the head wilted.
