Approach to Beltony stone circle. (The approach path is under tree cover, so is quite useful during rain.)

Continuous downpour.

Even a snatched photograph from under cover was marred by raindrops on the lens.

A nice Lactarius - probably Lactarius rufus. My tongue is still stinging from the milk some 3 hours later.

This Metzgeria furcata - a liverwort -  was growing on many of the Spruce trees in the plantation. I had to resort to flash to get the image on a wet day under tree cover.

Two more flowering plants making a late show. Pineapple Weed on the left, and Groundsel on the right. Having said that, I think that Groundsel is in flower all year round.

This bright green caterpillar was clearly looking for somewhere to pupate. Probably a moth, but no identification yet.
