An opportunist picture where some logs had been removed.

Dull and very cold.

Some logs had been removed and I saw this as an opportunity for a picture. The only thing I could see was this piece of bark, with the mycelium strands of a fungus. The mycelium is the perpetual component of the fungus that usually remains hidden under wood or soil.

Sample about 15 cm. across.
