14th February

A quick examination of a bridge over the river Deele.

Bright and sunny, with birds singing and bees flying.

This east-facing wall is proving quite fruitful at the moment, which is more than I expect from this plant I saw in bud, today. I'm certain it's the Barren Strawberry - Potentilla sterilis. One clue is the terminal tooth in each leaf which is shorter than its neighbours. The flowers will have notched petals if I'm right.
