Hornhead peninsula on the north west coast.

3,4 x Peacock, 1 x Green-veined White, 1 x Speckled Wood.

Bright sun for most of the day. Hot.

A few Peacock butterflies were slowly cruising, but mostly basking in the warm sun. This first specimen was very tired, with substantial damage to all wings.

This specimen was much more complete than the first, but is still worn.

Finally a much brighter specimen with very little damage at all.
