High deforestation, and a quick pic of the Willowherb after the rain stopped.

 

Dull but dry, then rain just as I went out with the camera. Still only two days without rain in May.

 

These are the early shoots of Yellow Rattle. The leaves are possibly the most distinctive of any of my local plants other than Sundew.

 

This is another shot of yesterday's Heath Woodrush, but from a different location about 1 km away. I'll keep track of the original specimen to see if it expands in the same way.

 

The first Willowherb flower of the year. This is Broad-leaved Willowherb - Epilobium montanum. There will be at least another 7 or 8 of these, but then the hybrids will have to be counted, too.

Not sure what that blue colouration is in the background of the picture.
