24th June

Local Hedgerow.

Dull but muggy. Drizzle later.

The Dog Rose - Rosa canina - has been out for about a week. The lower images show a rust on the leaves.

The rust would appear to be Phragmidium spp., either P.mucronatum or P.tuberculatum.

We've only just had the longest day, and already the Hawthorn berries are turning red.

Procumbent Pearlwort - Sagina procumbens - has tiny (1-2mm) flowers that rarely open.
