Corks first official outing was when a group of Cork head s went to a Indymedia
Ireland meeting in Dublin before the last reclaim the streets demo The idea
of a Cork web site was put forward and a posting was put on the IndyMedia
Ireland news wire.
A basic web site had been designed and then another posting was
put on the IndyMedia Ireland news wire calling a meeting of the
Indymedia Cork collective in the C A Z Article s to be posted were
put forward and agreed on.
It was also agreed with the group and with IndyMedia Ireland that the Cork group would not have their own news wire service to begin with due to the lack of people power to monitor an instant news wire. At the present moment we agreed that IndyMedia Cork was not just a web site, that it was a full multi IndyMedia net work as in video, sound, text, graphic and print medium.
