Coloured washed pebbles in different grades are often added to tarmac surfaces giving a greater range of colours.  Bark mulch is rapidly being replaced by pebbles being a more suitable material for its maintenance free, wind resistant and aesthetic qualities.
Sand drawn from our pit, apart from its obvious building uses, is exactly the same as that found on the beach, consequently local trainers find it a most suitable medium on which to exercise their horses in their sand arenas and gallops.
