Ned Kelly is Australia's greatest folk hero. His father, John Red Kelly,
lived in a townsland of Moyglass called Clonbrogan. He was deported to Australia
for stealing two pigs, where Ned was subsequently born.



Ned was a flamboyant, larger than life figure whose exploits caused
controversy during his own short lifetime, (1855 - 1880), and still continues
to do so today.
