East Coast USA - Programme
The US cultural awareness tour, for
teachers only, lasts 25 days and is scheduled for July 12 -August 5.
Participation is limited to the first 25 bookings. This will be the 22nd
such trip to the States and features:
- 4 days in Washington D.C.
- 3 days in New York City
- A one-day tour of Philadelphia
- A trip into Amish country
- Visit to the Battlefields of
Gettysburg
- Free Internet/email access at Kings
College
- Swimming, Tennis & Golf
- Receptions, Parties and Dancing
Booking:
Booking fee of IR£100 required.
Applications are accepted from Irish Schoolteachers only.
Applications are accepted on a first-come-first-served basis, so to
avoid disappointment please book early.
Places limited to 25.
Cost:
The cost of this 25-day exclusive, guided programme, including return
flight with Aer Lingus, full board and accommodation (except for New
York City, where meals are not included), transportation by coach,
registration and tuition fees at Kings College is IR£930.
Insurance and Irish Govt.Tax are not included.
Payment schedule:
IR£100 on booking.
A further IR£415 must be paid by Friday April 24 1998
Final instalment of IR£415 must be paid by Monday June 1st, 1998
Accommodation:
Participants in the programme will stay in shared accommodation in a
modern university residence. Single rooms may be had on request.
Weekends will be spent with host families. Hotel accommodation in New
York will be provided on a shared basis.
Getting acquainted:
As most teachers will apply on their own, a meeting will take place in
Dublin about one month before the scheduled departure date. There is no
need to hesitate about making a single booking as past experience shows
that most people quickly form friends on joining the group. |
