2. CEMETERY MASS
Every year we have Mass in our two parish cemeteries, St. Nathy’s cemetery in Collooney and Kilvarnet cemetery in the half-parish of Ballinacarrow.
This year the cemetery Mass in St. Nathy’s will be on [day to be fixed]. Weather permitting, on that day the Collooney 11.30am Mass will be celebrated in St. Nathy’s.
For the past year our cemetery has been looked after by the FÁS scheme sponsored by Collooney Projects Committee. The workers on the scheme have kept the cemetery neat and tidy during the year. They have also effected some significant improvements, notably the installing of drainage gratings to take the surface water that flows off the considerable hill on which the cemetery rests. We are very grateful to the Supervisor, Gerry White, and to all the participants in the scheme.
