2010 Calendar of Events




9 September 2010 : "Remember Mitchelstown" Commemoration
On Thursday 9th September the Band will hold a short Commemorative Service in New Square to mark the anniversary of the shootings in 1887 when 3 men lost their lives during a Land League demonstration.


3 July 2010 : South of Ireland Band Championships
Saturday 3rd July sees the Band travelling to Clonakilty to compete in The South of Ireland Band Championships. We have competed at this event for over 30 Years and is still the most important date in our annual diary.


21 June 2010 : St. Fanahans Holy Well
Open air mass at St Fanahans well.


4 - 7 June 2010 : Festival of the Galtees
The Band will perform at venues throughout the town as part of the annual Festival of the Galtees.


17 March 2010 : St. Patricks Day Parades
Morning: Mitchelstown Parade. Afternoon: Ballyporeen Parade


31 January 2010 : Annual Mass for Deceased Members
The Band will perform at the 19:30 mass for deceased and ex members in the Parish Church, Mitchelstown.
