Penalty Shoot-out : Thanks a million to all those who made this event such a great success - Finance Committee, managers, parents, and most of all our members, who slogged to raise the valuable sponsorship. We regret that the games we had hoped for were cancelled because of the rain in the morning. Prizes for those who raised the most, and the penalty kings, will be furnished shortly. Thanks also to the Order of Malta team  for their help on the day Click. It also reminds us to wish John O'Reilly the best in Western Australia.  Click for memories of this fun-day.

WHAT A WEEK FOR DDSL 18Premier 14/4/05: Celtic completed a hat-trick of wins in 5 days. Celtic travelled away for their third game in 5 days, this time against Leixlip Utd, and thrashed them 8-1. It was Steve O'Callaghan who was the terminator on this occasion, with his hat-trick. Bro Adam clocked in with one also. The other goals came from Simon Fleming, Shane Murphy, who was taken to hospital with suspected torn ligaments, and we wish him well.  Neil Ahearne, Wea Camara, got the rest. It could so easily have been double figures. 12/4/05: Ballymun Utd suffered on Tuesday.  And, yes you guessed it, the twins were at it again.  Steve gets taken down in the penalty box, and Adam converts the penalty.  Adam then makes it 2-0 in the second half. Yes, it was the O'Callaghan double act at it again.  On Sunday, 10/4/05, it was oh so close. They scraped home in tight league encounter in Sandyford. Adam gave Celtic a 1-0 half-time lead. St Marys equalised with a header from a corner. Steve O'Callaghan made it a twin-double and earned full points for Celtic. Apart from the twins, Shane Murphy and Graham Fennell were key men in getting this result for Celtic. They face Leixlip Utd on Thursday, again away. Can they make it 3 out of 3 on the road in 5 days???

2nd-5th April 2005

6/4/05: 17As : Despite having 2 first choice players missing and having to field 2 injured players, Castleknock 17s beat Dunshaughlin 4-2 in the league cup  in Porterstown in this mid-week fixture. The rearranged Castleknock side took a while to settle and were a goal down within 8 minutes but gradually took control. Fran Lowe scored the first goal when he lobbed the keeper after a great through ball from Giresse Makundayi. Fran constantly threatened and went on to complete his hat trick before half time.  The second half forced the replacement of one of the injured Celtic players, Mick O'Donoghue, while Mark McLoughlin played on but was visibly struggling. Dunshaughlin came into the game more and scored a second goal. Fran Lowe then scored his, and Celtic's 4th goal, after a clever free kick from Robbie Semple. Dunshaughlin came back strongly and were awarded a penalty which was well saved by Celtic Keeper Gary Creaner. Celtic dominated the game and the back 4, Sean Duffy, Colin Hayden, Alex Sherwood and team captain Cian Kennedy stood solid. Overall it was a good display by a Celtic team who are serious contenders for the league this season.  16Bs share the points in 2-2 draw away to Lusk in this mid-week fixture.  They thought they had done enough for full points after Christian Martin and Des Mulloy had put them ahead.  With seconds remaining, Lusk equalised to deny the visiting Celtic team
