About Brian Keogh

Brian Keogh has more than 25 years experience as public relations consultant, writer, journalist, and editor. Before starting his own company in 1986, he was managing director of two of Ireland’s largest PR consultancy firms, Holden Communications and Wilson Hartnell Public Relations. He has worked for numerous clients in the corporate field, including CPC, Irish Distillers Group, Chrysler, Bayer, Tara Mines, Coca-Cola, Toyota, the Irish Productivity Centre, the Department of Communications, Prudential Life and Sky Television. He is a past council member of the Public Relations Institute of Ireland and of the Centre Européen des Relations Publique.

Brian Keogh has worked for the following organisations and companies on a strategic relationship basis.

·        Enterprise Ireland

·        Cablelink/NTL  and The Irish Cable Operators Association

·        The Irish Liquefied Petroleum Gas Association

·        Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland

·        Association for Purchasing & Supply (PR awareness, publications, membership communication, seminar promotion)

·        Communication services on behalf of public sector funded consultancy programmes in the Republic of Ireland.

His capabilities as journalist and scriptwriter are used by in the public and private sectors for communications advice, staff training in writing skills, scripting speeches, articles and publications. As a writer and journalist, he has written extensively on business, industry, current affairs and a variety of other topics and his articles and features have been published widely in Ireland, Britain and Europe, the United States and other markets.

He is a former editor of Progress business magazine and Professional Purchasing, the official publication of the Irish Institute of Purchasing and Materials Management, and Public Sector Times. He was chief script consultant for EU News, the weekly television programme produced by the Irish Government and the European Commission during Ireland's EU Presidency.
