Business Calculations Briefs 2002-2003  
at VTOS Centre, Kilmallock

Assignment 1:  Candidates must investigate and analysise topic(s) related to the first 4 core units:

  1. Basic Arithmetical Operations
  2. Use of Elecrtonic Calculators
  3. Measurement and Mensuration
  4. Personal Finance

Evidence will include the application of  business calculations to tasks and problems in the context of  the candidates personal finance or vocational area. 

Assignment 2: Candidates must investigate and analysise topic(s) related to the optional units 5 to 8:

  1. Basic Statistics
  2. Calculations in relation to wags and taxation
  3. Calculations of costings in relation to Retail Trade
  4. Calculations in relation to the Operation of a business (including Small Enterprises)

Evidence will include the application of business calculations to tasks and problems in the context of the candidates vocational area.
