Certification is offered at a range of levels (Foundation, Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3). Students can take FETAC certification on a modular basis. Level 2 certification generally prepares students directly for employment. Foundation and Level 1 modules give people the opportunity to progress to more advanced certification. Level 3 certification is available in a limited range of specialised areas (International Telesercices, IT, Greenkeeping).

These two modules are recognised as equivalent to the ECDL and completing the ECDL allows you credit for them. Both modules (or completing the ECDL) are equivqlent to one Level 2 module.
