Produce a report on security and confidentiality on the internet.
Topics analysed could include viruses, filtering software, firewalls,
personal privacy, encryption, digital signatures and cookies.
You must demonstrate the use of a browser software package and the
use of search engines to carry out this research. Books or other sources of
information may also be used.
You will analyse your findings, draw conclusions and/or make
recommendations.
Your report will include details of methodology, URLs used and a
complete bibliography.
Produce a web page (or pages) on the history and structure
of the Internet. You may use a web
design software package and/or HTML tags.
Topics covered could include the historical development of the internet,
the administration of the internet, the uses of the internet (communications,
research, marketing).
You should ensure your site conforms to acceptable standards in terms of
layout, visual quality and clarity of message.

You must demonstrate ability to (and submit supporting evidence) carry out the following tasks:
a) Set up an e mail address
b) Compose a mail message with regard to email etiquette
c) Attach a file to an email message
d) Create a personal mailbox/folder and transfer a message to the mailbox
e) Print a message
