Dunmore Cave

Approximately
8km south of the elegant town of Castlecomer, which is apparently
modelled on the picturesque Italian town of Alsinore, you will
find one of Ireland's most fascinating caverns - Dunmore Cave -
just of the national road N78, 11km from Kilkenny City.
The cave consists of a number of chambers. It is well presented with an exhibition centre, guide service, steps, catwalks, and lighting. Admission is by guided tour only. Open daily from March to October and at
weekends only for the rest of the year
