St. Brigid's Day

It was St. Brigid’s day on Sunday. St Brigid was known as the woman of generosity and was also known as the cross maker.

Last week we made crosses on Thursday, two days before St. Brigid's day. We made big, small, triangle and advanced crosses.

A long time ago St. Brigid asked a farmer if she could have some of his land. The farmer said to her let's see how far you can spread your cloak around my land and you can have the bit that you've covered. So St. Brigid spread her cloak out and it covered all of the farmers land. And St. Brigid got all the land she wanted.
