Camogie

Kinnitty camogie club is very successful. They won Féile five times. Our trainer for under 12 and under 14 is Majella Bergin. In 1997 under 14 won the All Ireland final but in 1999 we did not do as well as the 1997 team. In 2000 Kinnitty camogie under 14 did very well. They got to the semi final but Waterford beat them.
Kinnitty camogie has a great under 12 team now. They have won about five times. Last year they won out the championship under 12. We were playing Lusmagh in the final. There was great support from parents and friends. This year there have been no matches played yet because of foot and mouth disease but the matches will be starting soon.

Our team for the school is very successful. Our trainers are Mr Dooley and Mrs Murphy. The girls have won the mini-sevens competition twice, first in 1999 and now in 2000. In Bord Na Scol we have not lost one match yet. Kinnitty Bord Na Scol have won about 10 times so far. I think teachers and parents the rest of community have a lot to be proud of.
