May Day

May day is a celebration of the start of summer and it's the only day for all our school religions to get together. We have a big parade and a big raffle with lots of very nice prizes. Every year we take a different theme and each class prepares something to do with that theme. Last year we did "Hopes for the New Millennium". Each class has their own part in the parade and their parents can come and watch. There is a party in each class and we do no work for the day. It takes weeks of preparation but all of it is fun. We had a Wishing Tree last year. Every class had their own tree. Each person tied a ribbon to the tree and made a wish. There is a party for the parents as well and we make musical instruments for the parade. Each class has their own photo taken and it is put on the noticeboard for everyone to see.

This years Mayday took place on Friday the 4th of May. Click here to see what all the classes did!
