POWERSCOURT HOUSE & GARDENS

GLENDALOUGH
Famed for its beautiful scenery & historic monuments, it has been a centre for pilgrims & visitors from the time of the founding of its monastery by St Kevin in the 6th century. Visitors Centre displays an exhibition, audio-visual show & informative guided tours in various European languages.

MEETING OF THE WATERS, AVOCA
The meeting point of the rivers Avonmore & Avonbeg was immortalised almost 200 years ago by the poet Thomas Moore. Here on a rustic seat formed from the root of a tree Moore is said to have written the words of the Irish Melody, "The Meetings of the Waters".

AVOCA HANDWEAVERS, KILMAC
