There are three main characters in The Lost Vikings and in the spaceship there is Aftiek. I'm not sure exactly what he is but he talks to the vikings and gives them help. Olaf the Stout, Erik the swift and Baleog the fierce are the three Vikings that you control. They all have different abilities and all three are needed to finish a level or else you have to start the level again.
Olaf the Stout Olaf the stout has a shield and can use it to float long distances or to stop enemies from killing any of the vikings. He can also use his shield for erik to jump on to get higher.
Erik the Swift Erik the swift is the fastest of the three vikings. He can run faster than most enemies and can bash down walls with his helmet or jump up high. He can also kill enemies by bashing into them.
Baleog the Fierce Baleog the fierce has no defences but can attack enemies with either his bow and arrow or his sword. When he gets a flaming arrow he can kill enemies with one arrow.
