MALIN HEAD HOSTEL

By Bus: Bus to Derry or Letterkenny with Bus Eireann or to Carndonagh from Parnell Square, Dublin with McGinley buses. The Lough Swilly bus connects Malin Head from Derry or Letterkenny.  Ask the driver to stop at Malin Head Hostel, which is along the bus route. 

By Train: Train to Derry with Northern Ireland Railways then bus or car to Malin Head Hostel.

By Ferry:   Foyle Ferries operate a car ferry service across the Foyle between Magilligan and Greencastle.  There is also a car ferry across the Swilly between Rathmullan and Buncrana. Once in Buncrana follow the signs for Carndonagh and then once you arrive in Carndonagh from the signs for Malin town and then onto Malin Head.

By Car:  Once in Inishowen drive to Carndonagh in the centre of the Peninsula and then north to Malin village and on to Malin Head.  The hostel is along this road on the left, 10km after Malin village.

You may like to follow the "Inishowen 100" scenic route, which begins in the south of the Peninsula. Look for signs at Bridgend and in to Buncrana.  The route follows the coast and is 100 miles long. Malin Head hostel is along the route - look out for the brown sign.
