This is determined by a combination of

Young children and the over 55 are effected more then other age groups |

Any burn effecting Breathing is a priority |

Treatment for Burns and Scalds
General
- Safety First
- Stop the Burning process
- Monitor the A-B-Cs
- Cool the affective Area for ten minutes (Timed)
- Remove Clothing/Jewellery NOT stuck to the skin
- Cover with a Dry sterile dressing
- Keep Warm and Treat for Shock
- Arrange for Medical Aid
