CSPE
In Mountmellick Community School, we have CSPE for Junior Cert. CSPE teachers include Ms McCarthy, Ms Byrne.
Civic, Social and Political Education aims to prepare students for active participatory citizenship. The course covers a range of topics of a personal, social and political nature in an effort to enable students to understand the rights and responsibilities of the individual in society. It intends to make students fully aware of their own rights as individuals and to highlight their responsibilities towards others.
