READING TOGETHER

"Reading Together" is a reading project involving a group of second class and sixth class students.  Each sixth class student partners a second class student and they read together each day for fifteen minutes over a period of three weeks.

Apart from the obvious benefits to second class, we believe that sixth class will also benefit from this experience. They will be learning valuable life skills like leadership, commitment and responsibility as well as gaining enhanced reading ability.

Each sixth class student participated in a short training session before the project commenced. The children received the booklet below as an aid and all participants will receive a certificate when the project ends.
