SCHOOL RULES
BEHAVIOUR:
Pupils are expected to follow the school's Code
of Behaviour.
DISCIPLINE:
Breaches of the Code of Behaviour will be dealt
with in accordance with the School's Code of Discipline.
BULLYING:
Pupils are expected to adhere to the school
Policy on Bullying. Bullying in any form is regarded as unacceptable
behaviour, totally against the Christian and family spirit
of the school. All reported instances of bullying are investigated.
Where it is established that instances of bullying have occurred
sanctions are imposed relative to the seriousness of the behaviour.
DRESS:
No wearing of inappropriate dress. No wearing
of tee-shirts etc. with offensive slogans. No wearing of caps/hats
during school time. No wearing of excessive jewellery.
CHEWING GUM:
Chewing gum is not permitted in our school.
SMOKING: Smoking on the school premises is strictly
forbidden. Pupils are not allowed to smoke while under the
direction of school staff, this to include visits away from
school, school trips etc. If a pupil is found smoking or with
cigarettes or matches in his/her possession, he/she will be
suspended.
ATTENDANCE:
1. Late coming to school requires a written
explanation from parent(s) /Guardian(s).
2. Parents/Guardians are requested to notify
school when students are sick or absent for other reasons.
3. Parents/Guardians must send notes when students
are requesting permission to absent themselves from school
for any reason.
LEAVING THE PREMISES:
A pupil may not leave the school premises, without
permission under any circumstances. The sanction for leaving
the school premises without permission is suspension.
SAFETY:
In the interest of safety and good order, pupils
are forbidden to open or interfere with windows, to run on
the corridors, to tamper with fire extinguishers or to engage
in any kind of behaviour which might lead to an accident.
DAMAGE TO SCHOOL PROPERTY:
Financial contributions will be sought from
students/Parents/Guardians for vandalism or defacement of
any part of the school premises, its furnishings and equipment,
or staff /pupils property or possessions.
MOBILE PHONES:
Students must turn off phones on entering the
school premises. The school is currently drawing up a policy
on mobile phones.
