Credit Union

A couple of years ago Kilkenny Credit Union launched a project to promote the habit of saving among young people.

They gave a computer to each of the schools who agreed to set up a savings scheme in their school run by the children themselves.

On a regular basis children can save money which is entered into the computer, running the same software as downtown in the regular branch. They are issued with updated receipts as if they were in the regular office.

We are very pleased to co-operate with this most worthwhile scheme and to date we have 45 pupils who are saving in this way.
