New Adoption Legislation Proposals
Adoption Legislation Consultation Process.
The Minister for Children, Mr Brian Lenihan is currently reviewing the Adoption Legislation. He is interested in consulting with all interested parties with a view to making significant improvements to the legislation.
The Minister asked all interested groups and individuals to submit their views on the proposals (outlined below) to the Department by Friday 18th, July 2003.

Oral Consultations will take place on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th October, 2003. A report will be published on the outcome of the consultation, which will reflect the written submissions and the findings of the workshops.
