Michaelmas Festival
Tinnahinch, Graiguenamanagh

Following on from the success of the 2009 Michaelmas Festival preparations are well underway for another fun filled weekend this year.  The festival takes place on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th September and promises to live up to it’s well deserved reputation as a fun day out for all the family from the very youngest to the very oldest.

In 2008 the festival committee pledged to raise funds to purchase a defibrillator and train up a team to operate it, this would be used for the benefit of the whole Graiguenamanagh community.  The equipment is in place now and 15 people are fully trained so congratulations are due to everyone who helped in any capacity make this dream a reality.

If you are interested in booking a spot to demonstrate a traditional craft at this year’s festival or sell your hand made items please be aware that you need to contact  Jim Butler on 087-1320234 asap.  Preference will be given to locally produced work and we are looking for an interesting variety of handcrafts and products.  For any other enquiries please ring our chairman Jim Butler on 087-1320234.

Michaelmas Festival 2010
Thanks to all the people that helped, before, during and after the festival, without which we could not have made it the success it surely was! thanks to all the people that came to enjoy the festival, all the bands that played such good music and the sun for not deserting us for a third year, thanks to every body, The Tinnahinch Michaelmas Festival Committee.
30th July
The Michaelmas Committee are asking if anyone has old photos of Tinnahinch, in particular any old photos of Michaelmas Fair that they would like to share with us by allowing us to scan them or take a photo of them, better still if you could scan them and send them to us through our contact us form attached to an email, this will allow us to improve the history section of the site, as photos of the old Michaelmas Fair seem to be hard to find.
