Mooncoins Adult Players

Mooncoins main team are presently in the intermediate grade. For those who are not familiar with the Kilkenny setup, this would be considered the second division. The first division is called the 'Senior' grade, the second division is called the 'Intermediate' grade with the third division being called the 'Junior' grade. There is also a forth and fifth division called Special Junior A and Special Junior B. These lower division are usually made up of the second and third teams of clubs in the higher divisions.

As stated Mooncoins main team are in the Intermediate grade. Mooncoin, however, have three adult teams. Their second team is in the Junior grade and they also have a team in the special Junior B grade.

To win promotion to the senior grade Mooncoin would have to win the Intermediate County Final. Mooncoin were very unlucky in recent years when they lost the county final in both 2004 and 2005, by one and two points, respectively.
