Advanced COURSE DETAILS

•Aimed at the rider with experience and a full licence.
 
•Training carried out by RoSPA approved advanced M.R.T.G. instructors.
 
•A RoSPA advanced test can be arranged at completion of training.
 

THREE  DAY COURSES TO ENHANCE SKILLS

The aim of the course is to improve the riders ability to utilise the motorcycle in a competent and safe manner, to realise the machine and rider capabilities and to ride in a progressive manner whilst showing consideration for other road users.

What to Expect
  • 20 hours training.
  • 400 + miles.
  • Over 3 days.
  • Then you need to practice.

Day 1
  • Assessment questionnaire.
  • Introduction to ROADCRAFT.
  • Discussion on position and vision.
  • Demonstration and assessment rides.

 

Day 2
  • Debrief day 1.
  • Discussion on cornering and overtaking.
  • Back on the road.
  • Time to pick up the pace.

Day 3
  • Debrief day 2.
  • Discussion on ride planning.
  • Putting it all together on the road.
  • High speed braking.
  • Course debrief and assessment report.

 

At the end of the course the rider will be able to:

  •     Implement "ROADCRAFT" techniques
  •     Make safe progress
  •     Use the machine controls systematically
  •     Improve the machine efficiency
  •     Maximise use of road position
  •     Improve cornering and overtaking ability
  •     Adapt ride planning by improving hazard perception

       

On completion of training an advanced riding test can be arranged.  Insurance discount available for successful test completion.   (Dependant on insurance provider) 

 

Our Instructors hold RoSPA Diplomas in advanced instruction.  We do not allow instructors to teach advanced riding techniques based only on their riding ability.
