 Eminem Concert

27th of June 2003 and in Punchestown the stage was alive as Eminem walked out onto the stage. Even though it was meant to be a 1 day tour to Ireland he had to put on a second show to facilitate all those that wanted to see him.

Over 18's was written on the ticket but that didn't stop us! The racecourse filled with about 50,000 people. It was so wedged you could hardly move. The show didn't start until 6 o clock but when the first act people just seemed to come alive as adrenalin surged to an all time high. Then everyone went completely off the rails, jumping, screaming and even crying when the sexy white rapper finally came onto the stage, on a big wheel! He must've got it from a carnival!

He was only one for about an hour and a half but even in that short while all our dreams had been fulfilled.

He sang every song he had ever written and the crowd served as backing singers. People were jumping so high to see the stage and get as near as possible to Eminem that Bouncers had to spray water on them!

All in all it was a great place to be on the 27th of June, especially as I was just after finishing my Junior Cert. The memory of seeing him in real life on the stage as opposed to the television was one that will stay with me for eternity.
