Following our visit to Manchester in April 2012 for the Royal Naval Association Annual Re-union, an invitation has been extended to the Irish Naval Association to participate with the Royal Naval Association at their National Conference in Liverpool next June 14th to 17th.

The RMS Titanic was registered in Liverpool (though it never visited the port) and the current Adelphi Hotel's Sefton Suite is an exact replica of the ill fated liner's First Class Smoking Lounge.
The Irish Naval Association when guests at the Hotel next June will be listed amongst world leaders, such as Franklin D. Roosevelt and Winston Churchill. Artistes appearing at the Empire Theatre, including Frank Sinatra, Laurel and Hardy, Judy Garland, Roy Rogers and his horse Trigger who have also stayed at the hotel |

It is suggested as we are in Liverpool from Friday 14th June to Monday 17th June, some might be interested in making it a weeks holiday by spending a few days before hand in Blackpool. 27 will travel direct to Blackpool on Sunday 9th June on Aer Lingus Flight 1410hrs to Manchester and on to Liverpool by Coach. On Friday 14th the other 47 of our group will also Fly on the 1410hrs Aer Lingus Flight to Manchester and on to Liverpool by Coach. The party in Blackpool will travel by coach down to Liverpool to meet up with the rest of our Group. All 74 will Coach back to Manchester for the 1315hrs flight to Dublin on Monday 17th. St. Chads Hotel next to the Lyndene Hotel, for those of our group looking for single room accommodation, has 100 pleasant rooms, all which have en-suite facilities. Televisions, hospitality trays, hairdryers and information packs can be found in the rooms. Three lifts make easy access to all floors and also has a selection of smoking rooms available too. |
