The 7th Irish Open Masters SC Swimming Championships 2005

Leisureworld, Bishopstown, Cork / Ireland

May Bank Holiday Weekend, 30th April & 1st May 2005

January 2004

Dear Masters Swimmer,

Cork Masters S.C. in association with Leisureworld, Bishopstown is delighted to host the 7th Irish Open Masters SC Swimming Championships in 2005 on behalf of SWIM IRELAND . We are aware that the dates are a very long time away, but because Cork has been chosen as the European Capital of Culture for that year, we would like to make the championships an even larger and more enjoyable event than ever before. It is with that in mind, we are writing to you now, so that you will have every opportunity to pencil the dates into your diaries. There will be social events much along the same lines as in previous years, with the main difference that the gala is taking place on Saturday & Sunday of the May Bank Holiday Weekend 2005.

In keeping with other Masters galas in the Europe, UK & Ireland we will include again the A1 age group for 19 – 25 year old swimmers.

Bank Holiday Monday Brunch-time: Jazz Special at Acton's Hotel, Kinsale.

A 2nd Advance Notice and Accommodation & General Information Sheet and will be sent out in late 2004.

For those of you who have difficulty in persuading your partners, wives, husbands etc to come to Cork with you, the May Bank Holiday has a couple of well supported cultural and sporting events. The Cork International Choral Festival will take place for the 51st time next year, and for the more rugby orientated supporter, the Heineken Kinsale Sevens are on as well. So there might be an additional incentive to make the journey to Cork.

Yours in swimming ,

Ossi
