Summer is Here!
Back to school today after the Easter break and just five weeks to go to the end of the school year. The fourth and T.Y students that went on the trip to Paris arrived back safely after a very successful trip. even the teachers had a great time!
Already the Oral exams are out of the way and this week it is the start of the practical exams. Engineering is on Wed. and Thurs. while construction is on next week.
C'mon Everybody!
The People in need Telethon is on this Fri. and like many others around the country Portumna C.S will be playing their part. The prefects are organising a gigantic event in the school gym on Fri. evening next. The main feature of the event will be a jumble sale and auction. Among the main items for sale will be a rugby ball signed by the Irish rugby team and a jersey signed by the Galway hurling team.
School Golf Team Reach Semi-Finals
The school golf team were beaten by the narrowest of margins in the semi-final of the Connacht Inter schools golf competition held in Ballinrobe just before recently.
